36th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference in Lisbon
The President of the Hellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association, Yannis Spinos with Dimitris Kontopidis (Vice President) participated in this year’s 36th Pan-European C.F. Congress in Lisbon, while the young physiotherapist Irini Tsourooufli, who expressed interest and is training in patients with C.F., was also present.
They attended where they were certified to attend a physiotherapy seminar.
They attended several presentations on various medical topics.
They renewed contacts regarding the representation of our Association, informed the world cystic fibrosis association “Cystic Fibrosis Worldwide” (CFW) and the European “Cystic Fibrosis Europe” (CFE) about the current situation in Greece.
Finally, our association was chosen to present its work this year, representing Greece together with Belgium.
We were in contact and informed with the representatives of various companies such as (Novartis / Pharmaxis / Pari / Yasoo / Vertex / Abbot / etc.)
As for the representation of our country by doctors and studies:

Chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infection and Respiratory Muscle Impairment in CF (Mr. Dasios – Cambridge UK)
Conventional and novel assessment tools for the evaluation of nutritional status of children with cystic fibrosis (Mr. Hatziagorou – Ippokratio)
A lunch was held with all the physicians of the scientific committee of our Association who participated in the conference where the necessity of cooperation of all of us in our common goals was discussed.
