For Unlimited Breath. Running for Cystic Fibrosis.
Register for the 5K race at the 43rd Authentic Athens Marathon with the Cystic Fibrosis Racing Team of the Panhellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association.
By running with us, you become part of a greater struggle—the daily struggle that people with cystic fibrosis and their families face for life, health, and “Unlimited Breath.”
You support children and adults living with cystic fibrosis, patients awaiting a lung transplant, as well as transplant recipients who have been given a second chance at life thanks to organ donation.
The 5K race will take place in Athens on Saturday, November 7, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m. at Vasilissis Amalias Avenue.
Individual registration for the race is already full for this year, and last year the spots available for our club’s team filled up very quickly. Sign up early and run with us!
How do I participate?
1. Please complete the registration form by Monday, June 22, 2026, at the latest: forms.gle/di6zP9vRtWuNZ1pG8
2. After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email from the Association regarding the availability of a spot and instructions on how to complete your registration.
3. Once the Association confirms that a spot is available, you must pay, within two (2) days of receiving the relevant notification from the Association, the race registration fee of €35, which covers exclusively the cost of official participation in the Authentic Athens Marathon through the group registration of the Panhellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association.
Participation in the race is confirmed only after the €35 registration fee has been paid in full. If payment is not completed by the deadline above, the spot will be offered to the next person on the waiting list, as spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. If all available spots have been filled, the Association will notify you and place you on a waiting list so that you will be notified first in the event of a cancellation.
👕 Upon completion of registration, all runners will receive a free “Unlimited Breath” T-shirt, which they will wear on race day. Further information regarding the pickup of race kits will follow.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic fibrosis is the most common inherited disease, and it is estimated that more than 500,000 people in Greece are carriers of the disease without knowing it.
The disease begins at birth and primarily affects the lungs and the digestive system, causing serious health problems and significantly impacting patients’ daily lives.
Despite significant progress in recent years, cystic fibrosis remains a serious and life-threatening disease.
